Have you ever ordered furniture online, only to receive it with dents, scratches, or chipped corners? It’s frustrating, and it can feel like your investment lost value before you even got to enjoy it.

At Kayulama, we believe your furniture should arrive looking exactly like it did in our factory — beautiful, sturdy, and ready to become part of your home. That’s why we use a 4-step export packing standard that’s not just protective, but also eco-friendly.

Step 1: Foam Sheet (2 mm) — The First Layer of Protection

Think of this as your furniture’s second skin. We wrap each piece in a 2 mm foam sheet to protect it from minor scratches, dust, and surface marks during handling. This layer also prevents any friction between the furniture and the packaging materials.

Function: Ensures the surface stays flawless — smooth and scratch-free.

Step 2: Face Protection with EPE (2 cm) — Guarding the Beauty

Your furniture’s visible surfaces — tabletops, armrests, chair seats — get an extra layer of EPE foam, 2 cm thick. This is where we focus on impact resistance for the areas you see and touch most. It absorbs shocks and prevents dents if the package is bumped or stacked during transport.

Function: Shields the most important surfaces from knocks and pressure.

Step 3: Corners & Edges Reinforcement — Stopping the Weak Points

Corners and edges are the most vulnerable parts of any furniture during shipping. We add a carton and a 2 cm EPE layer to these spots, creating reinforced bumpers. This ensures that even if the package experiences pressure or sudden contact, your furniture’s structure stays intact.

Function: Protects the frame and prevents cracks or chips on the furniture.

Step 4: Cardboard Box — The Final Shield

Finally, we place the packaged furniture in a cardboard box. This creates a sturdy outer shell, keeping the piece stable and protecting it from external force, moisture, and stacking weight during overseas shipping.

Function: Provides structural stability for long-distance travel.

Why This Matters for You

Our packing process is about ensuring that when you unbox your furniture, it looks exactly like it did in our factory. No scratches. No chips. Just timeless craftsmanship, ready to take its place in your home.

Really appreciate how carefully you handle export packing — it makes a huge difference for customers. We follow similar standards with our own handcrafted furniture
